Dear
Friend,
The final vote on a bill that would ban anti-LGBT discrimination in Jacksonville is heading for a vote August 15th and victory or defeat depends on you.
We need all hands on deck for the final push including a strong turnout for an Aug. 13th community rally.
Join us Monday, August 13th at 6:30pm for a RALLY IN JACKSONVILLE in Memorial Park!
Council members, community leaders, clergy, and allies will join together on AUGUST 13th in Memorial Park to show solidary before the final vote on the Human Rights Ordinance 2012-296.
In May, Councilman Warren A. Jones introduced bill 2012-296 that would, if passed, add sexual orientation and gender identity and expression as protected categories in our local non-discrimination ordinances in the areas of workplace, housing and public accommodation.
Be there for the Final Vote! Wednesday, August 15, 2012 5pm – Full council meeting
It is extremely important that our supporters attend. We recommend getting there early as we anticipate a packed chamber!
Mark your calendar and make history,

Nadine Smith
Executive Director
