Tell the Orange County Public Schools it’s time to protect LGBT teachers & staff.

Dear Friend,

On Tuesday, December 11th the Orange County School Board (OCPS) will vote on whether to update their nondiscrimination policy for teachers and staff to include sexual orientation and gender identity or expression.

OCPS should update this policy right away, not only because it’s the right thing to do but also because it’s the best thing they can do to attract the best and brightest teachers and staff to our school district.

Our students deserve teachers and staff who can can bring 100% of themselves to work without fear of discrimination and everyone deserves the security of knowing that they won’t be fired from their jobs just because of who they are.

Click here to thank the school board members for addressing this critical issue and to ask them to update their nondiscrimination policy right away. Send them a note to tell them it's time for OCPS to join every other major employer in Orange County and protect its LGBT employees.

Show up and show your support for OCPS teachers and staff. Join our team along with your friends and neighbors for the vote at the Orange County School Board on Tuesday, December 11th. Arrive by 5:00 p.m. to sign up to speak during the public discussion period that begins at 5:30 p.m. Wear your best red shirt to show the school board that Orange County residents support the protection of ALL our teachers and staff.

Policy victories are only possible when people like you take action by sending a note or by showing up to hearings to show your support.

We hope to see you on December 11th!
